Helix Designs is a new RC company started by Kyle Klingforth. Kyle started racing at the age of 9 running on-road at a local hobby shop. He's now an accomplished on-road driver, TQ'ing and winning is first major event Stock TC in Omaha at the 2014 ROAR Carpet Nationals. He followed that up with a Stock TC TQ and win at International Indoor Champs 2014 and several wins in 17.5 and 13.5 TC at Mile High Indoor Champs. Extending his passion of RC, Kyle started designing RC products in 2016. His first design was the Perfect Edge Tire Gluer which he debut at the International Indoor Champs 2016 and was an unexpected success. Today many of the top drivers in RC have added the Perfect Edge Tire Gluer to their pit box.

With the introduction of CRC's new black carpet in 2015 it was quickly realized by everyone racing on-road that gluing the edge of the tire or sidewall was going to be required as part of their setup. Why put super glue on the edge of the tire? To stop your touring car or pan car from traction rolling. What wasn't clear up front is how much? At IIC 2016 drivers came up with the idea to measure the diameter of the glue ring so it could be easily communicated. Common values for gluing are 59 mm (low grip), 59.5 mm (medium grip), and 60 mm (high grip).
